Well, tomorrow is the day. I’ll be leaving tomorrow for basic training with the Army. Besides a short time I will be home for Christmas, I won’t be back until April of next year. Since I enlisted with the National Guard, I will be home after that, not active duty, so you’ll hear from me again in five months. Back to posting about television and music with random bits about my...

Outsmarted
(6 PM)
4-Year-Old: I don't want to eat my dinner.
Father: Why?
4-Year-Old: I'm too tired.
Father: Then go take a nap first.
4-Year-Old: Fine.
Father: (A couple minutes later) I thought you were taking a nap.
4-Year-Old: I'm not tired anymore.
Father: Good. Now you can eat your dinner.
4-Year-Old: (Thinks for a second and then returns to her room. Goes to sleep for the night.)

Watch VersaEmerge on "World of Jenks" →
I don’t watch this show on MTV, but I like the band and wish I could tour with a band exactly the same way he did.

Facebook: A Place For Great Memories
Just accepted a friend request from someone I haven’t talked to in about 17 years. I leave for basic training in one week.
These are my thoughts today:
Let’s see how much “Doctor Who” I can watch in that time.
Sucks I’m going to miss “The Walking Dead” on AMC.
Should I even bother catching up on seven episodes of “Rubicon?”
I wonder if A&E’s “Breakout Kings” will be any good.
The new single from Bayside seems great but I think it’s not...

My Mom Writes Awesome Music Reviews
My parents are visiting and I just found out last night that my mom has been writing concert reviews for a music newsletter. Her and my dad are big blues music fans (my dad is even in a band) and they go to blues festivals all over Washington. They have a printed newsletter every month that goes out for the Washington Blues Society talking about talent and events in the state. I read her column...

You know what will be nice when I’m old? Trying new foods and restaurants. I figure I have a bad memory now so by the time I’m old, I’ll be able to visit the same places and try the same foods every year and it will seem like the first time every time.
Adding that to my list of things to look forward to when I’m old along with getting to make sexual innuendos without...
