elizs asked: I really enjoyed last night's season premiere of "Fringe." It's the first time I've seen an episode of the show. Do I need to go back and rent past seasons? Or do you think I can just start from the first ep of season 3? The way the episode was set up wasn't confusing, so I was able to figure out or infer what was going on. What do you think?

It wasn’t a bad guest-appearance, just not terribly memorable. Even though ‘Modern Family’ is just a better show, ‘Cougar Town’ really does have a superb cast. Now if they could just lose that god awful title.

I'm glad I chose to watch Community and 30 Rock.
Seeing them make fun of other shows on tonight made me feel like I was one of the cool kids that makes fun of…well, people like me.

WatchIf you were to create another cop drama for TV, I imagine it would have a few basic criteria:
Make your best attempt at “gritty.”
Start the show at the same time as a rookie cop starts.
Have a healthy mix of ages, races, and genders.

Meg and Dia's album "Something Real" →
This is an old album, but it’s good…and free. “Monster” is a good introduction to the band if you’ve never heard them and “Roses,” “Indiana,” and “Masterpiece” are really great songs. Even my girls like to listen to “Indiana” and you know they have discerning taste.

I only cut myself five times.
And I really thought it would bleed more. Turns out that shaving with a razor doesn’t even hurt so bad. Of course, I had to figure out first that fast is better than slow. I’ve used an electric shaver the entire 12 years that I’ve been shaving and I got used to slow being better than fast.
